Dr. Bowman, Dr. Green, and the entire staff at Prescott Smile Care are committed to staying on the cutting edge of dentistry and take hours of continuing dental education each year. This training includes training in minimally invasive dentistry, cosmetic dentistry such as Lumineers and Cerac crowns, root canal therapy, implant dentistry, Invisalign and Clear Choice orthodontics, and sedation, just to name a few. The entire team has undergone practice management courses and consulting with Levine and Mercer Management Groups to maximize the effectiveness of each patient’s dental experience.

Dr. Curt Bowman D.D.S.

Dr. Bowman is an Arizona native from the small town of Roll, outside of Yuma. He has been in the dental field since 1979. He was a dental assistant in the Army from 1979 until 1984. He worked on his Bachelors of Science at the University of Alaska Anchorage while in the military and finished that degree while attending dental school at the University of Colorado. He was awarded the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Award for excellence and the Quintessence Award upon graduation in 2007. He has been voted the “Best of the Best Dentist” in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Arizona Dental Association. Curt has many hobbies such as fishing, hunting, camping, and riding his ATV. He enjoys spending time with his friends, his wife, and two children.

Dr. Jordon Green D.D.S.

Dr. Green is an Arizona native having grown up in the small town of Snowflake, AZ. He completed in undergraduate studies at Arizona State University where he graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors and received his Bachelor of Science in Biology. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Pacific Aurther A Dougoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California. Dr. Green is a member of the American Dental Association and the Arizona Dental Association. When not in the office, Dr. Green enjoys golfing, camping, hunting, and spending time with his wife and four children.

Victoria Doherty (Insurance Specialist)

Victoria has been with Prescott Smile Care since 2006. She has been in the dental field for over eight years. Prior to working in the dental field Victoria worked for thirty-one years in customer service in California and Washington. Victoria has many hobbies but her favorite pastime is spending time with her grandchildren.

Jaime McElhattan (Patient Coordinator)

Jaime has been in the dental field for over seven years. She is currently our receptionist but has been crossed trained to assist in many areas of the practice. She is a graduate of Bradshaw Mountain High School and has spent most of her life in the Prescott area. Jaime enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and doing local ministry work.

Shellie Bowman R.D.H. (Hygienist)

Shellie has been a hygienist since 1992. She is an Arizona native and has been working at Prescott Smile Care since 1998. She is certified to administer local anesthesia. She worked on her Bachelors in Education at the University of South Carolina and finished that degree at the University of Alaska Anchorage while obtaining her Associate in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She also has an Associate of Liberal Arts from Scottsdale Community College. In her spare time she enjoys reading, beading, playing volleyball, and spending time with her family, friends, and puppies.

Heather Chaves R.D.H. (Hygienist)

Heather was born in California but has been in the Prescott area almost all her life. She has sixteen years experience in the dental field. She was a dental assistant for ten years. She graduated from Phoenix College with an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She has been a hygienist for the past six years and she is certified to administer local anesthesia. She has been employed at Prescott Smile Care since March of 2009. Heather enjoys hunting, camping and being with her family in her time away from work.

Traci Newkirk R.D.H. (Hygienist)

Traci has been with Prescott Smile Care since 2007. She has been in the dental field for over five years. She has also worked for a local periodontist for the past two years. She has a Bachelor of Technology in Landscape Design from Andrews University and an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Kalamazoo Valley Community College in Michigan. She is also certified to administer local anesthesia. Traci enjoys spending time with her fiancé and her dogs in her spare time.

Christa Stehower R.D.H. (Hygienist)

Christa has been employed with Prescott Smile Care since 2007. She was born and raised in the Prescott area. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Arizona University. She is certified to administer local anesthesia. While attending NAU, she received several awards for her excellent work. She was the Health Profession Student of the Year in 2007. She was also selected as the Dental Hygiene Student of the Year in 2007. She received a letter of accommodation from the Pearl Harbor Naval Dental Clinic in 2006. Christa is the President of Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene for 2010. Christa is the varsity volleyball coach for Prescott High School and a local youth group leader. When she has spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and family.

Theresa Marquardt (Dental Assistant)

Theresa is a graduate of the Bryman School of Dental Assisting. Theresa moved to the Prescott area from California. Theresa has worked with Dr. Bowman since 2003. She has an impressive thirty three years of chairside assisting experience and has kept current with all the newest materials and technology. Theresa enjoys reading and hiking.

Jodi Nelson (Dental Assistant)

Jodi was born in Alaska and moved to the Prescott area when she was a young girl. She is a graduate of Chino Valley High School. She has been dental assisting for one year. She joined Prescott Smile Care in early 2009. She enjoys camping, going to the lake, and spending time with family and friends.

Pam Quinn (Dental Assistant)

Pam is a transplant from the Chicago area. She has been assisting Dr. Bowman since 1998. She has been chairside assisting for over thirty three years. Pam is extremely knowledgeable of all aspects of dentistry and has kept current with all the newest technology and materials. She loves cooking, skiing, and being outdoors.
